Cellery-Lentil-Potato Sauce Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium Cellery root
  • 110g Brown Lentils
  • 350g Potatoes

My this years, Christmas dinner, yummy and ……..i don’t know….YUMMY…

Lets start, first preheat your oven to 220 C° and get yourself a baking dish.

At Second, already start preparing your Brown Lentils, like it says on the Package. Afterwards remove the skin from the Cellery Root and cut it into 2 to 3 cm thick slices. Place those on the baking dish, so it covers the bottom and pour a bit water on top of it, so that it doesn’t burn and steams a bit. Now why did I mention Burn and steam, its because, Im about to tell you, to place it in the oven already, that the Cellery….well….steams.

While that is already baking, preheat another big pot of water, peel and cut the Potatoes and boil them for 15 Minutes. After that, drain them and blend them with a hand blender and 150 ml of water. Indeed, like always, if you want the sauce to be either creamier or thicker, use more or less water.

Now just wait for the Lentils to be ready and once they are, remove the celery from the Oven, throw the Lentils evenly on top, and spread the Potato Sauce on top.

Finally bake the  whole thing for 15 to 20 Minutes. Then cut it into squares and serve…
